It's a nice spot but mostly only worthwhile to island residents as they can get in free. For the price they charge you can visit many other locations more worthwhile in my opinion. Still nice views and good to kill an hour of time.

A great place to mix history, picnic, nature and walking into one afternoon by the lakeside in the fresh air. You can visit a old windmill in summer and there is other buildings that are also open in summer. We come here often and you will also, enjoy.

Being a local my whole life, I've always enjoyed coming here to relax and be by the water or have a picnic. It's never over crowded, unless there's a festival happening and it's nice when the park staff dress up and provide the historic stories about the park. Great for photos, of you're into photography and fun times can be had of you want to rent a kayak or go canoeing (Centre Nautique on the premises). They offer home made bread, the old fashion way of preparing it, although, check their schedule and arrive early because it goes quickly!
